3rd image...

Hey so I tried writing the scripture at the top in the clouds
and that didn't seem to work. Too much going on up there
SO I put them below. Does it get lost down there? Not
sure I have much options in this photo.
Thanks for the input so far..... :)

Hey mom,

Great idea from Rebecca! I love the pics, and no, I don't think it has to be thematic...that could get old kinda quick. If you just randomly throw out pictures with verses you feel relate and encourage, that's perfect. That way, people never know what they're going to get.

I don't think I like the verse on the first picture myself. Only reason being, you have the three crosses down below, and it is a slight stretch to relate them to the pic. I think any particular verse about God's love would be better suited. Just my opinion...I'll look again at the others, and tell you what I think. Great job though! Love you,

Hmmm...I don't think I like the scripture on the 2nd one either...I think anything relating to God comforting us in hard times would be better suited...I'll look around and see if I can't come up with a couple verses I think would be better. I like the third one. Very good. I'll get back with you. And of course you know, this is just my opinion. Love you mom,

Ok, here's a couple that I think might work better on the 2nd one...see what you think.

Psalm 10:17 (NLT)
2 Cor. 1:7 (NLT)
Ruth 2:13 (NIV)
Psalm 119:76 (NIV)
Isaiah 66:13 (NIV) “As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you…”

Just suggestions. Love you mom.

HEY LUKE! I was wondering where you were? I am so glad to hear your opinions AND suggestions! They are always helpful. OK I looked up the versed in the NIV I will look them up again in the NLT again. I particularly like the two from Pslams for the middle pic most. And I like the Isa. verse too. I think I might use that one for another picture yet to come.
I can see what you were thinking for the first picture and I might change it just not sure what the verse may be yet...I can see either Ps verses for the middle have to read them again in light of the first though. But what I was thinking of for the first was pretty the heavens are higher....(there is alot of the heavens pictured there)than the earth....(the earth is pictured below and it is a fraction of the size of the heavens) so are my ways higher than your ways ( the cross~ which is foolishness to the world who never understands the way of the cross....) do you see where I am coming from? The cross is the way of Love...but we miss that... But I will definately think about other verses that might work better. If you think of any more that might be fitting please let me know!! I SO appreciate your thoughts (and everyone elses!)
My PS is down which is REALLY bad for me...leaves me dead in the water can't really do any work without it. Can't resize images or make them into jpgs to add here or add lettering... yikes. Pray it gets fixed quick! Love you!!!!

I knew what you were talking about with his ways higher than ours, cause the cross doesn't make sense to most people, but I think for the average person to look at it, it really won't click. Maybe if they think about it for a while, but maybe that's what you're going for. I think generally these types of things are inspirational and moving, you know, kinda the verse fits directly with the picture to relate to the viewers life and God's love etc..., but maybe that's not what you're going for. You do what you want to do, and I'll give you my opinion. I have absolute confidence that whatever you decide on will be wonderful and perfect.

Love you!

Wow, I have to say... your photography is beautiful! I love the idea of adding the scriptures. The middle photo is so warm and the lighting falls perfectly. Did you try putting the scripture more in the center on this one? (it's difficult to see) Other than that, these are great!

Luke I am glad for all your opinions they really are helpful. And it helps me see things from another angle so that's cool. As soon as I get my PS working I will definately look at other verses for that image. :D Keep me informed if you find anything else that might work.
Love you!

Hey Shay! Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words! I greatly appreciate them! Your quite an encourager. :D Ya I agree that the words are hard to see. I am hoping that when they are printed on a full 8x10 page that they should be easier to see. This size is just so small but with web stuff and on the blog there isn't much choice?
Do you happen to know of any places to get cool fonts cheap or better free?
:D She2

I know this probably isn't really that helpful, but you could google fonts+free+unique. I find lot of stuff online with google searches and there seems to be a lot when you do this, but my connection is pretty slow. You have to be careful with web sites, too. Make sure they are reputable before you download.

At 9:25 PM, Blogger Sheeztrue said...

WOW Shay! You are right there is a wealth of info on the web for free fonts....I could drown in it there is so much! Will have to take some time and wade through it all!
Thanks for the help Shay! I really appreciate it!
