Verse of the Day... I love this verse!!! (below) well for that matter the one on the picture too! BTW IF you DOUBLE click on the picture it should get bigger so you can READ the verse! :)

Though the fig tree does not bud, and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
The Sovereign Lord is my strength, he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go to the heights!

So many will follow the Lord as long as things go well for them...they have a skewed idea of what it is all about. (don't let the enemy twist truth in your thoughts)
They think it is all about promise of an easy happy life. They forget, really it is not all about US. It is really all about HIM. Our focus is OFF (the Prize...Him) and it is on ourselves and our desires. That's where we lose our joy.
This verse reminds me of a very loyal loving friend's attitude... one that says no matter what happens...everything that surrounds us does not matter...war, destruction, death...I will never leave your side. I love you.
Are we fair weather friends? Or do we really Love Him throught thick or thin. Can he count on our Love and loyalty no matter what? If(the fruit is not there, picture of barreness and failure in our own lives) we are lacking, and even walking in a desert experience of dryness of spirit (olive crops fails), and you have lost hope for the future..(no sheep in the pen or cattle in the stalls)there seems no promise with our fleshly eyes to see provision in the physical or spiritual realms.

But yet there is promise...promise of strength that he will give to get through whatever comes our way (and he will be with us,because he is THAT kind of friend who doesn't leave when things get hard)and promise for all who stick close to him to be given hinds feet, the ability and power (grace) to follow him wherever he goes...even to the heights from the depths. Victory is truly ours amidst trouble.
Just keep your eyes on the Prize, Him.

So what do you think of the image? The verse go with it? Better ideas of a verse?

Love Sheesh

The picture and verse go together well. Very pretty.
I think I've been guilty of being a "fair weather" Christian before. Many people don't understand that His promise is greater than the issues we have in this life and far beyond our understanding. And He offers us something much better than an easy, happy life...Himself! Cool! I pray I can always be one who is loyal to Him no matter what the circumstances are.

I like the image of the flower with verse. It does fit it well. The thoughts that followed though were even better. To embrace the Word of God and believe in it so much so that ones actions show that one is completely trusting in the Lord for all things, and not relying on the things of this world, whether it's made by the hands of man or not.

wow Sheesh that is so true. Too many times we throw God aside when things are good and only take him off the shelf when things are bad. I admire you for being a woman of God I can look up to. Over the years you have been a great example to me. Every time you walk through the dessert you walk with him every time the sun is shinning you walk with him.

Lord I ask that you would just pour blessings over Sheshe and just give her a renewed sense of your presence.

Love ya,
